SEQUOIA NATIONAL FOREST
When my roommate and I first got to Pepperdine, we immediately made a bucket list of all the places we wanted to travel around California. One of our first additions to the list: Sequoia. This forest is nationally known and contains the largest tree on earth. As we love to hike, we thought it would be a great place to adventure. Labor day was right after one of the first weekends we were there, so we thought it would be the perfect time to drive 5 hours away to this national park. After a long car ride, we finally made it to the beautiful forest! We decided to go on the trail Big Baldy, which was perfect to complete within the 5 hours we had in the park before needing to head home. It was a relatively easy trail, with breathtaking views along the way. After we had finished the trail, we had to go check out the largest tree on earth (currently), the General Sherman, which is 25 feet in diameter and 275 feet tall!
